Samhain Ancestral Journey
We are standing at a sacred threshold.
Open up the holy doors and we shall enter.
We are traveling together on a spiral road.
Sing with courage to light our way home.
The ancestors are calling.
It is through the veil of the ancestors we will enter during this sacred time of year.
We gather to call our ancestors home to us, to receive their whispers of encouragement, to listen to their wisdom, and to honor the generations that we come from.
These are the times to gather together to heal, to grieve, and to honor the transformations occurring within and around us. It is important to not turn our back on each other or the ancestors or the Earth. Collectively - and virtually - we can open our intuitive eyes and our hearts even wider to the power and potential each of us holds within for healing, for clarity, for connection, and for inspired action.
Coming together in the ancestral realms is a part of our collective healing and grieving process that we need during these times.
The turning of the wheel
On the Celtic Wheel of the Year, we turn to the Gaelic Fire Festival of Samhain to honor the ancestors and the time when the veils to the ancestral realms are thin.
The New Moon in Scorpio is one signal of the beginning of the Season of Samhain.
We circle to honor, witness, remember and receive wisdom from our lineage.
It is time to honor the endings and cast new beginnings during this potent time.
Samhain represents not only a portal into the ancestral realms and a time of remembrance, celebration, and joy but also the time to sweep away the cobwebs within our minds, bodies, and hearts to usher in a new season.
Samhain was (and still can be) the Celtic New Year. Join us to honor what is complete and call in what is next.

A Special Note of Thanks and Recognition
... to the teachers, mentors, and guides who have inspired and informed me along this line of work.
Thank you, especially, to Dr. Kimmy Johnson who taught me about kinship of place and held the container to explore ancestral migrations, MaryBeth Bonfiglio and the work of Blood + Belonging, all of my professors at CIIS, Angela Bixby and the Conscious Psychic Program, Karine Belle and the Rooted Global Village, Resmaa Menakem who inspired the somatic abolitionism work and antiracism circles, Achintya Devi and Ameya Cohen and the Priestesses of the Rose who supported my own journey, remembrance, and embodiment through the Wheel of the Year, the Lenni-Lenape Tribe whose land I mother, work, dream, and live on, my Quaker ancestors who returned me to these lands, and the countless and constant companions and soul travelers on this path.
And most of all, thank you for being here and for the future ripples of change and transformation we shall create.
May we unravel together to remember and become the healing that is necessary.
