Support

At the foundation of every successful woman is a web of support. You are familiar with the African proverb, “It takes a village to raise a child.” I full-heartedly believe it takes sisterhood and support to rise and become a conscious, present, inspired leader.

And I believe in our digital and (at times) isolating culture today, this is what is most missing in our day-to-day; sacred support and sisterhood.

Sisterhood has the power to transform you. When you are part of a tribe of true sisters – where we honor the unique calling of each of us, when we come together in support of the vision and intention we desire to create and when we rely on each other to call us out when we are hiding, to bring forth our light when we are avoiding and it and to honor each challenge as an opportunity, you will be transformed.

In the sacred space of sisterhood you will find collaboration, creativity, challenge, change, insight and transformation.

A woman needs a web of support in her life to become the woman she desires to be. This web of support includes support for her relationships and loved ones, support for her home and household, support for her work or business, support for her health and well-being, support for her body, mind and soul.

When a woman receives support she is able to fully give herself, her work and her loved ones the gift of presence. Presence is a necessary tool to creating your beloved work and life. When you are able to ask for support, you are able to fully step into receiving mode which is part of the feminine way of leading.

The two facets of support are the support you receive and the support you give.

True sisterhood arises when we freely give support with no judgement and receive support with an open heart.

You can’t do it all alone.

This has been the biggest lesson of all for me. I was raised by a very independent mother who taught me to rely on myself and carry myself through any situation. This has come in handy throughout my life. But I have learned the greatest lesson of all is to open myself up to ask for and receive support.

As self-sufficient women, it can be hard to let our guards down in complete trust with other women. The key to sisterhood is to remove the barriers, remove the masks and to sit openly with each other. When we find ourselves in comparison mode, it is because we can see and feel our own desire within another woman’s success or story. We are not given a desire that we are unable to fulfill. If it is a desire, it is possible to achieve.
