That whisper you hear..

A calling is an unknown. It begins as a soft whisper, a nudge, a feeling in your gut, a wink from the Universe.

Following it can be difficult at times. You are not sure where to go or what you are meant to do with it. Sometimes you don’t even know WHAT the calling is but you sense it is too big to ignore.

When you feel it in your gut, your heart and your soul, you know you are meant to follow it. However, in our culture and world we have not been taught how to listen to our intuition and discern this voice from the voice of our fears.

I speak to so many women who are in the midst of transition and have a sense of what direction to take but not a clear picture of how to get there.

They are following the whispers.

Many of us can easily succumb to the voice of our ego and fear whispering doubts and limiting beliefs into our heads. These are what tend to keep us safe in our day-to-day and not take the risks that we are being asked to take.

Still, others of us have a sense of our calling and know the greater vision we desire to create for our life, our family and our world.

It is when we listen to the whispers, ignore the panic and anxiety that can easily arise in our chests and seek the support we know we need in order to propel ourselves forward that a calling can be answered.

We cannot create big change alone.

Women are meant to gather, to collaborate and to help birth each other’s dreams.

Support is here.
It always has been.

But one of the first fundamental steps to following that whisper you hear is to relax into the wisdom of your heart and move forward from a sacred space of knowing.

When you create space to listen, you can sense, feel, see or hear what you are meant to do next even when you don’t always know the clear outcome.

We often just get simple directions or actions to take and this is on purpose.

Because we cannot handle the full scope of our calling at one time.

It will be revealed with each step we take.

The clarity you seek is given through experience and action. Following your calling requires you to follow the breadcrumbs of inspiration. It requires you to listen, to trust and to act.

Listen.

Trust.

Act.

When you engage in this cycle, before you know it you will be running towards that which you once desired and you will look behind and see that the breadcrumbs have created a clear path towards your calling.

But before you can jump ahead to that point, you must listen, trust, act. And repeat.

Through my own personal journey and my work with clients, I have seen this process work first hand and move individuals through transition and into taking action towards the greater vision of one’s life and work.

To listen you must have a sacred practice in place to create the space you need in your everyday life to follow your calling.

To trust you must intimately know your higher self, your own truth and use your intuition and tools to discern when guidance comes from soul or shadow and fears.

To act you must face your shadows, your fears, your insecurities and do it anyway. Taking inspired action requires you to move towards what feels right, towards your beloved calling and to continuously stand in your power.

To know your calling is to experience it and to experience it is to be who you are meant to be and do what you are meant to do.

So my beloved sister, I say to you today:

Do the work.
Go into the unknown to find your answers.

Listen to the whispers of your heart.
Listen to the wisdom of your soul.
Listen to the guidance of your intuition.

Create the sacred space and rituals to communicate, to listen and to trust.

And then take the inspired steps – one at a time.

It’s not always about having a strategy or plan in place. Sometimes when we are following the guidance of our souls, it is about putting one foot in front of the other and having faith that the path you are walking will become clear.

And I promise you will one day see the steps you took in trust have brought you to the promised land of soulful alignment, service and abundance.

To the unfolding of your calling beloved sister,

Gretchen
